US rates set to rise more than expected, unlike European rates

Central banks are having a hard time: skyrocketing inflation calls for strong monetary tightening, but economic growth is already weakening, so that interest rate hikes may push the economy too deep into a recession thereby triggering a credit crisis. Will central banks manage to navigate the narrow path of reining in inflation without causing a credit crisis?
