Yield curve does not share soft landing optimism

Lower inflation and some better-than-expected economic data in the U.S. and Europe are fueling hopes of a soft landing. However, the shape of the yield curve and the Leading Indicators point to a hard landing of the economy. In the short term, we see soft landing expectations prevailing, but central banks' reaction to this will increase the risk of a hard landing later this year.
