There are plenty of European politicians who think they can flourish in the new multipolar or G-Zero world and the age of Trumpism on their own. The words of EU's foreign policy boss Mogherini clearly haven't sunk in with those politicians: "In Europe there are two kinds of States: those that are small, and those that have not yet realised they are."
